ARRANGEMENTS OF THE PROBLEMS OF THE ACTUAL STATE OF THE MURA RIVER BORDER SECTION
Determining a concept for arrangements of the actual state of the Mura River border section is needed for the purpose of the strategic decision-making and planning of integrated measures to achieve the water and environmentally-oriented objectives, including adaptation to climate change with additional planned increases in the share of renewable energy from hydro-electric power. This should also take into account the development prospects of the Pomurje region and of the wider Mura region. Based on the prepared expert bases and studies for regulating the border section of the Mura River, the project included:
1. the concept of regulating the border section of the Mura River by way of water management infrastructure and natural arrangements of the banks – offshore land,
2. the concept of integrating the planning and implementation of remediation measures for the border section of the Mura River with the energy use of the Mura River.
