Institute for Water of the Republic of Slovenia and 8 other partners form Italy, Slovenia, Montenegro and Croatia participates an European project Adriatic + (Sharing Marine and Coastal cross management experiences in the Adriatic basin).
Institute for Water of the Republic of Slovenia will as a partner participate in the LIFE project called ViVaCCAdapt – Adapting to the impacts of Climate Change in the Vipava Valley.
There is an urgent need for adaptation plans to outline how individual river basins can prepare for the impacts of climate change and other pressures. The development of successful adaptation strategies needs to involve both regional and local stakeholders.
Within the framework of the European project BeWater awareness campaign continues in a form of mobile exhibition hosted in various places in Slovenia with the focus on Vipava Valley.
Multidisciplinary solutions for Krakov Forest. In cooperation with partners, the IWRS is designing solutions for the protected Natura 2000 site in Krakov Forest. The Forest is drying and finding a solution for its diminishing water levels is essential. The IWRS and its partners will find solutions that will partially help solve the issue of flood safety at Kostanjevica na Krki.
