EXPERT BASIS FOR DETERMINING THE IMPACTS TO THE CHEMICAL STATUS OF THE MURA WATER BODY FOR THE ENVIRONMENTAL REPORT OF THE HRASTJE MOTA HPP
The elaborated expert basis identifies all elements that are required for elaborating the Environmental Report, which is needed for the Environmental Permit within the preparation procedure of the National Spatial Plan for the Hrastje Mota HPP. In accordance with the Platform for Environmental Report Preparation and in relation to the impact of constructing and operating the Hrastje – Mota HPP to the chemical status of the Mura River, the basis provides answers to all relevant questions regarding the envisaged impacts to the environment within the context of the following content sets:
1. evaluating the impacts of constructing and operating the Hrastje – Mota HPP on the chemical status of the surface water body due to a changed self-cleaning capacity of the Mura River resulting from the modified water regime in the area of impacts of the HPP,
2. identifying and evaluating mitigation measures to reduce the significant impacts to the assessed chemical status of the surface water body because of planned construction and operation of the Hrastje – Mota HPP,
3. comparative analyses of the Hrastje – Mota HPP variant project solutions, including the planned mitigation measures in relation to the chemical status of the surface water body.
