UPDATING THE CONCEPT OF CONSTRUCTION OF HYDROPOWER PLANTS ON THE MURA IN WMP II
In order to determine public interest as stipulated by Article 4.7 of the Water Framework Directive on the possibility of deviating from the objective of the current good status or the good ecological potential of water bodies due to the construction of hydro-electric power plants, we prepared expert bases for assessment methodologies that use uniform criteria.
The methodology for determining the public interest in deviating from the objective of the current good status or good ecological potential of water bodies – which has been developed using the results of the CAMIS project and the methodology of the Republic of Austria – was applied on the expert bases for constructing the HPP on the Mura River.
